Privacy NoticeShe might be eleventh in line to the throne, but that hasn’t stopped Princess Eugenie from daydreaming about becoming Queen. As the daughter of Prince Andrew and the Duchess of York, Eugenie was sixth in the line of succession when she was born. The 34 year old, whose uncle is King Charles III, once revealed the special rule she would put in place if she found herself on the throne. The unique demand is one many people would support, especially as it would make a huge difference to the five-day working week. When she was in her early 20s, Eugenie was asked if she’d ever wondered what she would do the Royals in front of her in the line of succession were suddenly gone and she became Queen.

The Princess responded to The Daily Mail: “I would make Mondays part of the weekend!” There’s no doubt Eugenie’s plans for a three-day weekend would go down well with the public, with the introduction of a four-day working week very welcome. Elsewhere in the interview, Eugenie spoke about being a princess, saying it can be “weird” at times for her. Recalling a recent trip at the time, she said: “Yes. Though it can be quite weird sometimes. I was coming through American immigration recently and the guy said, ‘So, you’re a princess eh? Do you have much power?'” She revealed she’d told the man that her granny – Queen Elizabeth II – has power. Eugenie admitted the American officials struggled to believe her grandmother was the Queen, despite her being a princess.

Eugenie appears to be playing an important role in the Royal Family of late. It has been reported that the Princess has proven to be a big support to the Prince and Princess of Wales, following Kate’s cancer diagnosis. It’s been claimed that Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice have stepped up to help with Royal duties, especially with the uncle King Charles, 75, also battling cancer. According to Women’s Day, the sisters feel honoured to assist the family during this challenging time.
