Privacy NoticeMason Noise, the controversial singer who shot to fame on X Factor, has left fans stunned with his dramatic transformation. The former singer made a name for himself on the 2015 series of the talent show, but frequently clashed with Simon Cowell. Mason, who was just 21 at the time, famously fell out with the music mogul during the Six Chair Challenge. The Birmingham-born star wasn’t happy with the time he was given for his audition and made headlines with his shocking mic drop moment. Despite the drama, Mason finished seventh overall after being invited back for the live finals and even secured a spot on the live tour.

However, these days, Mason’s focus is far from the music industry. According to his Instagram bio, he’s now a “Musician, Reiki Healer, Inner-Explorer.” Opening up about his career shift, he told his followers: “I have chosen to live a better life. I want to participate in creating a better future, and to do that I have realised I must disentangle myself from old patterns. I have to quieten the mind through the connection with my heart, and commit to become more than I ever previously imagined”, reports the Mirror. Alongside his new career path, Mason has also undergone a significant image overhaul. During his time on the ITV singing competition, he was often seen sporting a snap cap and short, trimmed facial hair, while keeping his hair trim short. Nowadays, he’s often spotted rocking a bandana or bucket hat, sporting a lengthier beard with a distinctive grey chin stripe, and even flaunting a nose piercing.
Reflecting on his transformation since X Factor, Mason shared with Birmingham Mail: “I’ve changed a lot. I think I’ve done a whole 180 degrees about who I am as a person. I’ve been through experiences and had ups and downs in the past year.” He added, “I’ve gone on a spiritual journey, I’ve had counselling and meditation and yoga have really helped me. I went through a spiritual realisation.” In April, the star took to Instagram for the first time this year to post a black and white picture of himself with a bandana, which he captioned: “The eclipse yesterday pulled us all into the depths of our core asking, ‘what’s next for you?’ It is time to spring forward and bask in the new sun.
