Privacy NoticeIt’s been more than 30 years since audiences were introduced to the Banks family in Father of the Bride, where we saw Annie Banks (played by Kimberly Williams-Paisley) transition from a young college graduate to a radiant bride. The romantic comedy, directed by Nancy Meyers, was released in 1991 and gave viewers an insight into the emotional journey of a father coming to terms with his daughter’s wedding day – or in the case of George Banks (Steve Martin), losing his sanity while dealing with the wedding preparations. The unforgettable movie also featured Diane Keaton as Nina Banks, Annie’s mother, Kieran Culkin as her younger brother Matty Banks, and George Newbern as Bryan MacKenzie, the groom. The success of the film led to a sequel in 1995, titled Father of the Bride Part II.
