Privacy NoticeRoyal Family fans are all saying the same thing after a video of Prince Harry speaking Spanish to an enthralled crowd in Colombia took social media by storm. As part of their trip to Colombia, which lasted four days, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the Petronio Alvarez Pacific Music Festival in Cali yesterday (Sunday, August 18). Taking to the stage alongside his wife Meghan Markle and Colombia’s Vice President Francia Marquez, Harry boldly greeted the audience with a “buenas noches” (“good evening”). He even thanked Marquez in her mother tongue before turning to Meghan for assistance, asking: “Can you help me translate?” Meghan nodded her head in agreement. Prince Harry ‘let real feelings’ slip during Colombia tour with Meghan Markle

The footage has been shared widely across various social platforms, prompting fans to liken Harry to his late mother, Princess Diana. One comment on TikTok said “it is nice to think that it is a representation of” Diana. Another remarked: “So beautiful Harry, it’s like having Princess Diana.” While a third chimed in: “Princess Diana would be very proud.” Colombians were also wowed by Meghan’s fluency in Spanish. She mastered the language when previously living in Buenos Aires and Madrid. One TikToker said in response: “Seeing her speaking in Spanish makes me feel closer to her and I like her.” A second said: “Meghan scored big points speaking Spanish.” Harry and Meghan touched down in Colombia last Thursday (August 15). Marquez decided to invite the pair after watching their docuseries on Netflix. Despite no longer being working members of the Royal Family, the couple’s visit has all the hallmarks of an official Royal visit. This is their second trip this year, having previously spent three days in Nigeria in May.
