The singer was just 31 when he tragically died last Wednesday after falling from the third floor balcony of the Casa Sur Hotel. It’s believed the show will feature interviews with those closest to Liam, including X Factor contestant Mary Byrne, who is expected to share her experiences of living with Liam during their time on the show. Liam rose to fame on the popular competition show in 2010 as a member of One Direction, alongside Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles. The description for the Hulu special reads: “Drugs, a trashed hotel room, and a deadly fall: How One Direction’s Liam Payne tragically died. The boy band singer’s sudden death sparked renewed questions about the dark side of fame. How did the 31-year-old’s brilliant star fade so dramatically?” The show will also feature expert insights from psychologist Dr Azadeh Aalai, as well as interviews with One Direction fan Natalie Barada and ABC News contributors Chris Connelly, Kelley Carter, and Megan Ryte. Following Liam’s passing, his father Geoff Payne travelled to Argentina to bring his son’s body back home, reports the Mirror US. According to a statement from lead investigator Andres Madrea, “The representative of the Public Prosecutor’s Office informed the father that the toxicological and histopathological studies complementary to the autopsy have not yet been completed, and that their results are necessary to decide on the release of the body.” Madrea added: “The Prosecutor’s Office has already contacted the local British consulate for the ‘corresponding legal procedures’ regarding repatriation.” Liam’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy recently spoke out about the singer’s death, revealing that Liam had given her a note weeks before and asked her not to read it. “A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together. I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it. “It said, ‘Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged & together forever 444.’ Liam, I know we’ll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned. You’ll always be with me. I’ve gained a guardian angel. I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go. Forever yours, Katelyn 444.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
