Privacy Notice The 2024 series of Big Brother has finally begun, with the 16 new contestants spending their first week in the iconic house. While fans are becoming familiar with the ITV house’s new make-over, OK! went behind-the-scenes ahead of the new series to snoop around – and find the rooms that viewers won’t get to see. While most of the house is shown on camera throughout the series, the two main rooms that we won’t see are the bathrooms and the shower for privacy reasons. Deputy TV Editor Lauren Morris visited the Big Brother House in west London and discovered that both of the bathrooms feature a secret door.

Both bathrooms unsurprisingly have a toilet, a sink and a small bin – however, there is also a secret door which leads out of the house and onto the show’s soundstage. Viewers can’t see who enters and leaves through this door – however, it’s very unlikely that the contestants are able to use it. Meanwhile, in the Big Brother house showers, contestants have access to unbranded shampoo, conditioner and body wash – and there is even a microphone dangling from the ceiling to catch any soapy conversations being had. Speaking exclusively to OK!, hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu revealed their favourite parts of the house’s new makeover and that Will personally tried out the Big Brother hot tub – although he didn’t have much of a choice. “We’ve just been in the hot tub, not together. I just threw Will in by himself,” AJ laughed, while Will added, “That’s why my hair’s a bit wet. She actually did, she actually pushed me in.” On the new house, AJ continued: “The jacuzzi has a new home, the garden feels more spacious, the kitchen is great…the diary room is hello!”

Big Brother’s 2024 series began on Sunday night, with AJ and Will hosting the show’s launch on ITV2. While viewers were introduced to the contestants for the very first time, some spotted a feud brewing immediately between Rosie and Hanah. With the cast asked to choose either the Blue or Red team when they arrived in the house, Hanah chose the Red team and when given the power to steal a member of the Blues, she chose Rosie. Unfortunately for them, the Blue team were allowed to stay in the Big Brother house, while the Red team were placed in storage. One viewer commented: “Rosie was safe until Hanah stole her lol, i wonder if she’s secretly thinking I hate you.” Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
