The 50 year old landed the role of one of the ‘Dragons,’ in which “budding entrepreneurs, inventors and small businessmen pitch their ideas, with real cash to invest.” While Sarah only appeared in series 13 and 14, she made a huge impact on the show, which helped her forge an even more successful TV career. Since her two season stint, she’s also appeared on Daybreak, This Morning, The Wright Stuff, Sky News, and a celebrity episode of The Chase.

However, when she’s not flexing her business skills on TV, or offering investments to passionate and creative minds to kickstart their own careers, Sarah has her fingers in many different pies. From co establishing a private equity platform in the UK, co founding Nightcap PLC, which helps to “organically grow drinks-led businesses,” or being named ‘Business Leader of the Year,’ Sarah has racked up a pretty hefty net worth over the years thanks to her successful endeavours.

Which is why she’s been able to afford her most recent career change – and probably the one that people envy the most. For those unaware, Sarah didn’t quit Dragon’s Den to co found more companies. She actually said her goodbyes to the BBC show because she wanted to travel the world with her family. While talking to Express, the 50 year old revealed that jetting off with her husband and business partner, Michael Willingham-Toxvaerd and their four children was “by miles the single best thing [she’s] ever done in [her] life.” Admitting that she would have stayed on Dragon’s Den for a little bit longer, she told the outlet that in hindsight, she had no regrets. “We were supposed to do it the year before, but we [had already] put it off for a year so I could do a second series,” Sarah explained, before adding: “We had spent almost two years making ourselves redundant from our lives to be able to do it [the trip].”

When talking about the actual travels, Sarah revealed their first year was spent with zero rules apart from always making sure the family were heading west. This led to Sarah, Michael and their kids getting to experience a whole host of new cultures and countries. Starting in Canada, they travelled along the west coast of North America and then down into South America. There, they visited Chile, Argentina and Patagonia.
