Privacy NoticeWhile Britain’s Got Talent features a host of comedy acts on stage each year, some of the funniest moments of the show actually take place when presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly tease the judges between performances. During the second semi final on Tuesday 28 May, the spotlight was turned on Simon Cowell as Ant and Dec made fun of Simon’s late return to the judges’ desk during the live show the night before. As the show started, Ant asked the music mogul: “Simon, first of all, have you been for a wee before the show?” Simon started laughing, as Ant continued: “You didn’t quite make it back in time last night, did you?”

“Thanks for pointing that out,” Simon replied, before going on to talk about how important the semi finals are, as they lead to the chance of one act winning £250,000 and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance in November at the Royal Albert Hall. There have now been two semi finals, and so far the acts that are going through to the final are opera singer Innocent Masuku, Ssaulabi Performance Troupe, magician Jack Rhodes and Japanese Double Dutch group Haribow. There are three more semi finals to go this week, and then the resulting 10 acts will compete against each other at the final on Sunday 2 June. Already, bookmakers William Hill have tipped Innocent Masuku as the winner, shortening his odds from 12/1 to 5/2. After his first audition, judge Amanda Holden described him as “the best opera singer we have ever had,” while his performance in the semi-final earned Innocent a standing ovation and caused Alesha Dixon to comment: “How do you sum it up? You’re the one to beat. Powerhouse! Chills – I had chills up and down my arm. Mesmerised by you and your talent. Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.”

Meanwhile, in an interview with OK! , Jack Rhodes revealed what he would do with the prize money if he won the entire series. “My house needs a new roof so I would probably spend a lot of it on that and outside of that I would probably take my wife and dog on a classy holiday – to be honest with you I haven’t thought that far ahead, if I win I would cross that bridge when I get to it.” Before the semi final, he described his act as: “unlike anything that has been done before, it’s brand new and I’m super excited and it’s also probably the most difficult thing I have done.” When Ant and Dec revealed he would now be going onto the final, Jack joked that he would need to come up with a new surprise for this weekend.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
