Privacy Notice Ant McPartlin gave Simon Cowell the cold shoulder in a cringe-worthy moment on Wednesday (29 May) night’s Britain’s Got Talent. The dynamic duo, Ant and Dec, returned to host the third semi-final, where eight more acts will showcase their talents in hopes of securing a spot in the live final airing this Sunday evening. But things got a bit awkward at the start of the show when Ant and Dec settled down on the sofa. It seemed they were being filmed in the dressing room – casually sipping tea and chatting about the upcoming show. Suddenly, Simon called – but Ant chose not to answer, and the pair playfully imitated his speaking voice as they speculated about what he might say, before it was revealed they were actually on the Britain’s Got Talent stage.

Realising they were on stage, they laughed off ignoring Simon’s call and insisted they would never ignore his calls, as Simon made light of their apparent ‘snub’, with everyone chuckling over the skit, reports the Mirror. However, the pair have had more pleasant exchanges during this semi-final week, as earlier in the week, Simon extended his best wishes to Ant and congratulated him for welcoming his baby son into the world. Ant appreciated Simon’s kind words, as the live audience cheered to express their own congratulations for Ant following his family news. Ant and his wife Anne-Marie were ecstatic to welcome their newborn, Wilder, just a few short weeks ago. To announce their joyous news, he posted an adorable snapshot of him cuddling his son and captioned it: “Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!”

Ahead of Ant’s return to work celebrity PR expert Mayah Riaz shared that he was likely having some mixed emotions. They told The Mirror: “Ant’s decision to take a break from Saturday Night Takeaway and prioritise fatherhood is a smart move. “Becoming a father is a life-changing experience, and it is natural for him to want to spend quality time with his son and adjust to his new role as a parent. Ant’s return to work after becoming a dad will likely be filled with mixed emotions. “On one hand, he may feel a sense of excitement and fulfilment as he resumes his career and reconnects onscreen with his co-host Dec”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
