Privacy NoticeBritain’s Got Talent viewers have shared their pets’ reactions to a rather strange act. Semi-finalist Geneviève Côté, is hoping to impress viewers with her spookily-realistic animal noises. Having made it to the semi-finals, Geneviève is now among the contestants battling it out for a spot in Sunday night’s final. However, her act has had some rather unexpected results. Taking to social media website X, previously known as Twitter, one viewer shared a video of the pet dog Frank howling at the TV part way through Geneviève’s act. They wrote: “there’s a woman on Britain’s Got Talent doing loads of animal noises and Frank is so confused #BritainsGotTalent”

Britain’s Got Talent fans ‘in tears’ as favourite misses out on place in final
Another viewer shared a snap of their dog, writing: “My dog’s enjoying it tho #BritainsGotTalent” As a third posted: “Cheers love dogs barking at the tv now #BritainsGotTalent” “I just tried this at home – and now every dog in the neighbourhood is barking outside my front door and scratching to get in… #BGT #BritainsGotTalent” quipped a fourth. The semi-finals kicked off on Monday night following reports that next year’s edition of the talent show could take a somewhat different format to this series, with ITV bosses said to be considering giving the show a huge cash boost – rumoured to be worth around £100 million.

They are also reportedly planning to make the series longer. In recent years, the show has run for around six to seven weeks from mid-April to the beginning of June, but the new plan is for BGT to start in February and be on air for three months. This would fill the gap left by the end of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, and the cash injection would be used to make the show bigger and possibly even better than their competitor Strictly Come Dancing. The first live semi-final also saw host Ant McPartlin return to work for the first time since the birth of his son Wilder two weeks ago. The TV personality, who welcomed baby Wilder into the world with wife Anne-Marie on Tuesday, 14 May, beamed from ear to ear as he returned to his Britain’s Got Talent presenting duties alongside close pal and co-host Declan Donnelly.

Fans at home welcomed 48 year old Ant’s return to work with open arms and many took to X to praise the TV presenter’s appearance on the ITV show. One wrote: “Simon congratulating Ant becoming a dad and the birth of his baby boy and he’s happy for him #BGT #Britainsgottalent.” “Ant’s first time on live TV since the birth of his child and he’s happier than ever #BGT,” added another. While a third penned: “Simon saying congrats to ant and him having the biggest smile my heart #bgt.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
