Privacy NoticeBritain’s Got Talent’s semi-finals on Friday night saw the last two acts, who will be performing in tonight’s final, confirmed. But some fans weren’t happy with the acts who made it through, with some even branding the show a ‘fix’. The episode saw comedian Alex Mitchell and magician Trixy each land a place in the final, with the latter given a place by the judges after Alex received the most public votes so automatically moved through. However, some didn’t agree with the judges’ decision and speculated that Trixy’s magic tricks weren’t so magic. This led to fans being less than amused as they spotted three ‘clues’ that could suggest the result were ‘fixed’ in Trixy’s favour…

In on the act Trixy’s act saw him ask the judges; Bruno Tonioli, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell, for a variation of numbers, while he also asked hosts Ant and Dec for a random six digit number. Adding the numbers together on a calculator, and instructing the audience to do the same, Trixy then pressed the equal button to reveal the number 315, 823. He read it out at exactly 8.23pm on 31 May.

But accusing host Dec as being ‘in’ on the trick, one viewer wrote to X: “Trixy, it’s not magic when Dec is in on it giving the specific number that’s needed to make today’s date. Old trick using a specific app to give you the number needed.” Another shared: “Trixy for example, that wasn’t actual magic. its numbers (which dec had an earpiece in for).” While a third suggested: “It’s a simple trick… Dec is in on the act. He is fed the 6 digit number in his earpiece to make the trick work so final total is 315823.” Big blunder Some were also unhappy with Trixy’s act, others were left laughing as the magician appeared to expose Alesha for not performing live on the show. As well as being a judge, Alesha was the semi-final’s celebrity guest and performed later in the show.
Alesha was left giggling

But just 20 minutes into the show, and before she had taken to the stage, Trixy said: “Alesha, loved your performance by the way,” as the judge giggled and replied: “Thank you.” This led to many fans speculating that the performance must be pre-recorded for Trixy to already have seen it. One viewer wrote to X: “Obsessed with Trixy outing Alesha for prerecording her “live” performance”. A second wrote: “So Alesha ain’t performing live then.” Silly subtitles Some fans spotted that the subtitles were right on time with what was coming out of the judges’ and Ant and Dec’s mouths. Sometimes when a show is live, there can be a delay but there apparently wasn’t in the latest episode. “I’m 99% sure this act is a fix because the subtitles are preloaded, if it was live they’d be on a delay,” one fan said.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
