Privacy NoticeAmanda Holden opted for a rather risque dress in the latest Britain’s Got Talent semi-final. The TV star, who has previously sparked Ofcom complaints with her choice of clothes, opted for a golden wet look dress on Thursday, 30 May. The plunging dress clung to her figure as she took her seat on the judging panel. Ahead of the show, Amanda shared some photos of the stunning dress to her Instagram page, with fans quick to compliment the star’s fashion choice. One wrote: “Golden Holden, this dress is beautiful and you are beautiful in it.” While another added: “It looks absolutely amazing.”

A third labeled Amanda “absolute perfection”, and a fourth wrote: “Gosh, you look beautiful Amanda. Really enjoying the live shows. It amazes me how you and Alesha look so different every night. Xx” Back in 2017, Amanda sparked a record-breaking 663 complaints to Ofcom as she donned an £11,000 Julian McDonald dress, which exposed most of Amanda’s chest and stomach. Reflecting on this dress, and the backlash it got, Amanda said: “That dress was hysterical it was Julien Macdonald. “I had bits of fish wire underneath my breasts trying to hold that together. But, look, I’m from a small-chest family, plus you know I’m 48 years old. It’s all quite laughable, but all everyone seems to talk about. It’s been called another national crisis but, oh no, I will not be covered up.” Amanda has also hit back at those complaining about her outfits. Speaking to Tyla, she said: “I dress for myself and I’ve always dressed for myself and I really enjoy fashion and I’m okay with it is all I’ll say.

“I don’t lose any sleep over it and I never set out to offend anybody. But I think these days you’re unable to not offend – there’s no way of winning. So you have to stay true to yourself and wear what you want.” And back in April 2023, Amanda spoke about the topic during a Q&A session with her fellow BGT judges. She said: “It’s like the problem is everyone talking about my t*ts, while these two [Simon and Bruno] all the time… “[Simon’s] shirt’s always undone and [Bruno’s] stripping off. No Ofcom complaints about me this year, please.” After making the comments, Amanda’s co-star Bruno Tonioli came to her defence, as he said: “I don’t understand this complaining, she’s a beautiful woman, they’re [Amanda and Alesha Dixon] beautiful women, why, what is the problem?”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
