Privacy NoticeA soap legend, who starred in the beloved TV series Neighbours, has announced the joyous news that she’s pregnant. It comes after four years of infertility challenges for the actress and the heartbreaking miscarriage of twins. Olympia Valance, 31, who shot to fame when she played the role of Paige Smith in the Australian soap, announced news of her pregnancy on Instagram, while openly sharing the difficult journey she’s been on. Because of this, Olympia revealed that she kept her baby news, with her AFL star husband Thomas Bellchambers, under wraps for five and a half months. In the Instagram post, alongside a sweet snap with Thomas, her blossoming baby bump and the pregnancy test, she wrote: “I’ve been hiding away for the past 5 and a half months to make sure this wasn’t all a dream. But you kept growing and growing and it’s starting to look like our dreams have finally come true.

“I’ve been as open and honest as I could about our struggles with infertility and I truly believed that this day wasn’t going to be possible for us. So when I saw this positive pregnancy test I have to admit, at the time, I wasn’t jumping for joy. I was full of fear because that’s all I’ve known. But as the weeks kept going by it was hard to wipe the smile off our faces.” The soap star continued: “To the little one we never thought we’d meet, we can’t wait to hold you in our arms. You were worth every tear, every setback, and every prayer. “To all the people who supported us through the darkest days, thank you. I know I wouldn’t have made it to this point without the strength of my family and friends who managed to hold me up when I was falling apart.”

It was so hard for me to write this because it feels like I’m caught between two worlds. It’s not an easy road and I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy. It’s one hell of an emotional roller coaster. Stay strong, keep fighting, but most importantly don’t forget to be kind to yourself. #ClearblueConfirmed #PaidPartnership #Ad (Always read the label and follow the directions for use).” Soon after the Instagram post, it was revealed by Stellar Magazine that they are expecting a baby boy! The couple, who tied the knot in 2022, were inundated with support as they are set to welcome their first child together. Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas commented on the post: “Yessssssssssss”, with love heart emojis, while The Real Housewives of Melbourne’s Gina Liano added: “So exciting!!! Love to you mama and big hugs to yiayia xxxx.”

Olympia previously opened up about the miscarriage of her twins in an emotional message last year. She said: “Thomas and I miscarried twins, right in the middle of Covid, which as you can imagine was excruciatingly painful’, she said in a post online. “Since then, we haven’t been able to conceive. That would be two years of really trying. For any woman or couple trying to get pregnant, there is no worse pain than every month looking down at that negative pregnancy test. Your heart breaks in two.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK! MagazineFacebookTwitterCommentMore OnNeighbours
