During a Q&A session on Instagram, one curious follower asked about the current state of her relationship with the GC. Despite it being four years since their reported fallout, it seems their former friendship still sparks interest among fans. When asked if they’re still friends, Saffron confessed that she had received “had about 20 of these” questions and decided to clear the air. She posted an old TOWIE clip featuring her and Gemma as a backdrop to her response, as she explained that they were once “like sisters”.

She wrote: “Funny enough I was sent this the other day. I was never friends with the GC, I was best friends with Gemma. We was like sisters and we made memories that last a life time. Life happens, things change and people drift but that’s it.” The last reported drama between the two was earlier this year when rumours of a confrontation at an Essex pub hit the headlines, reports the Mirror. At the time, it was alleged that friends reportedly had to step in when Gemma made it clear she wasn’t interested in discussing things with Saffron, who was allegedly trying to make peace. An onlooker told The Sun: “Saffron clocked Gemma and decided to approach her table to sort things out. Gemma wasn’t interested in hashing out their differences in a crowded pub though, so Saffron’s words fell on deaf ears.”

They continued: “When Saffron could tell Gemma wasn’t going to engage, she got frustrated and bit loud – it caused a bit of a stir and people on nearby tables were looking over. In the end, one of Saffron’s pals stepped in to calm her down and diffuse the situation.” They added: “It’s safe to say, however, that Saffron and Gemma won’t be making up anytime soon. The friendship is irreparable.” At the time Saffron addressed the allegations on Instagram, denying anything had happened. She wrote: “I’ve not been to the venue mentioned since October and the narrative of the story is complete lies to what actually happened. The friendship ended four years ago and that’s where it will remain.”
