Privacy NoticeCelebrity chef Tom Kerridge has dished out his secret which helped him to a dramatic 12-stone weight loss. The star says a simple snack swap has helped him shed the pounds. And he hailed his new choice as “the ultimate” snack. Speaking on the Comfort Eating podcast with Grace Dent, Tom revealed his love for a new snack combination stating: “It is the ultimate snack! “It’s cheese and grapes. It’s cheddar and red grapes and they’re always in my fridge because it’s very easy, you don’t have to do any cooking. It gives you a burst of sugar and vitamins.” Tom added with enthusiasm: “Normally seedless (grapes), so you get sugar rushes but you also get a sense of vitamins coming through. And, cheese for me is amazing! It’s like the ultimate snack.”

Crediting Cathedral City and Pilgrims Choice as his chosen cheese brands, Tom confessed to prior indulgences, admitting: “It used used to be cheese on toast and an old tube of Pringles with a pint of gin.”, reports Gloucestershire Live. Further into the chat, he recounted a whirlwind romance that led to an engagement with Beth Cullen-Kerridge only six weeks after meeting. He recalled their quirky first encounter in a pub, where she boldly asked for money for entertainment: “Give me three pounds for this stripper”. Amused by the unexpected request, Tom responded: “I was like, alright, so I gave her three pounds for this stripper and he never turned up. We got on really really well, we’ve been together pretty much since that day.”

Tom recounted how, after spending the night at her place, he surprised her the following day: “she came back and fully expected me to be gone with the telly missing and she’d come back and I’d made a stuffed chicken breast in a cream sauce. So I kind of won her over with a pasta from a 24 hour shop.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
