Privacy Notice Rochelle Humes, star of This Morning, was all shades of red as she made a cheeky soap confession live on ITV on Wednesday (July 31). Chatting with EastEnders actor Shiv Jalota – who brings to life Vinny Panesar on the iconic BBC series – Rochelle couldn’t hold back her admiration for a certain soap hunk. Conversation quickly turned steamy when co-host Dermot O’Leary brought up how Vinny and dad Nish Panesar’s storyline (Navin Chowdhry portraying the latter) brought a hint of Succession drama to Walford. He quipped: “Oh yeah Succession comes to Albert Square. Why is it always the old businessmen that drink shots and are in shorts in the pub as well?”. Dermot then continued with a wry comment about midday drinking habits in the pub. He said: “Like ‘I’ll have my whiskey’, you’re like, what? At 12 o’clock in the afternoon?”. But Rochelle was ready to turn up the heat, interrupting with: “Very handsome though Nish. Nish is very handsome.”

Dermot did a double-take at her sudden interest, prodding further as she confirmed with a dreamy: “Yeah, he’s lovely.” The conversation then took a silver-turn as Dermot named Nish’s character a silver fox, reports the Mirror. Sharon Marshall, another ITV face, didn’t share Rochelle’s enthusiasm and threw in her two cents with a head shake: “He’s a bad boy!”. Rochelle wasn’t deterred by Nish’s less-than-stellar reputation in Albert Square, instead, she swooned: “It’s the eyes though Sharon!”.

The gripping family drama on EastEnders only intensified this season, with Vinny working some dark angles to get a piece of the Panesar empire, roping in his mum, Suki Panesar (played by Balvinder Sopal), while unfolding secrets and power plays to the This Morning presenters. He exclaimed: “Vinny, at this point, is fighting for his empire with his mum to get it back from his villainous dad and to gain reins of the empire and lead the family on, beyond Nish.” Delving into whether Vinny has lost his goodness or if he’s been swayed by darker influences, the actor quipped that being a Panesar might mean leaning into a bit of mischief. Shiv elaborated: “He’s so beautiful to play that he’s becoming the man that he never intended to be but in order to be a Panesar, you’ve got to make some decisions that are ruthless.” As of now, viewers have been seeing Rochelle co-host This Morning with Dermot over the summer while fan favourites Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard enjoy their well-earned holidays. Throughout the forthcoming weeks, ITV promises a stellar line-up of celebrities taking turns at presenting duties until the regulars make their anticipated return in September.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
