Privacy NoticeDermot O’Leary, who has been a regular on the ITV show, is rumoured to be the next presenter set to “quit” the programme. According to the latest odds from betideas.com, there’s a strong chance that the 51 year old could leave his role on the daytime show this year. His current odds stand at 11/10 to quit anytime this year. Lee Astley, spokesperson for betideas.com, commented: “Dermot O’Leary is the latest big ITV name to start branching out from his duties with the channel, with rumours rife that his tenure on ITV’s This Morning is coming to an end. “We make him 11/10 to quit the flagship daytime programme altogether and 3/1 to start his own talk show, while appearances on a selection of BBC programmes also seem a possibility.”

Dermot joined the ITV show back in 2021
Recently, it was announced Dermot will be co-hosting a new game show on Dave called Silence is Golden, with many other ITV stars joining programmes on other broadcasters. Speaking about the upcoming series, Dermot said: “I’m so looking forward to Silence is Golden. “When a show like this falls into your lap, you can’t quite believe your luck. “Looking forward to having lots of fun with the audience, our comedians and assorted cast of regulars, all trying to make the audience laugh, gasp and giggle.” The concept of the show will see a studio audience given £250,000 to divide between them all.

However, the hard part is they must keep quiet in order to keep the funds while a string of comedians try to make them laugh. Every sound they make will bring the prize pot down and if it goes to zero, the entertainers will give the cash to charity. The game show is expected to air next year.
