This Morning fans were not impressed when the ITV show was cut short today, Tuesday, 11 March, to make way for a major schedule shake-up due to the Cheltenham Festival coverage. The programme, along with other daytime favourites like Loose Women, Alan Titchmarsh’s Gardening Club, Tipping Point, and Lingo, faced cuts. Although not completely removed from the schedule, This Morning, hosted by Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, had its usual slot reduced by 20 minutes. Typically running from 10am until 12:30pm, the show ended prematurely at 12:10pm today, followed swiftly by the ITV Lunchtime News, with the horse racing event kicking off at 12:45pm.

Unhappy fans didn’t mince their words on social media platform X, expressing their annoyance with comments such as: “Wait what happened to this morning? And why is the news on?”. Another disgruntled viewer exclaimed: “F*** the racing! I want to complain and Tweet about daytime TV!”, reports the Mirror. The Cheltenham Festival is set to cause further disruptions, continuing from Tuesday, March 11, through to Friday, March 14, leading to additional changes in the TV lineup. ITV Racing will present The Opening Show, offering a detailed preview of each day’s events at the festival, broadcasting from 9am until 10am. Consequently, regular shows, including reruns of the classic 1980s US drama Magnum P.I., have been rescheduled to fit in the British series Robin of Sherwood.

Bradley Walsh and his team of chasers on The Chase will carry on as usual in its weekday slot without any changes. After the Cheltenham run this week, it’s anticipated that ITV’s broadcasting schedule will return to its regular format on Monday, March 17. Zara Tindall and her husband Mike and newly-married Georgia Toffolo are some of the stars who have been spotted at the first day of the racing festival.

Made in Chelsea star Toff, 30, who tied the knot with her husband James Watt, 42, last week, looked gorgeous in an elegant knitted boucle dress by Delia Wade, complete with a matching cropped jacket. She donned knee-high heeled boots, a miniature YSL handbag and a pair of vintage-style sunglasses. On her Instagram, the star quipped: “Day 1 Cheltenham outfit reveal! Quite a mad one even by my standards. “Wearing white with patent leather boots to Cheltenham sounds so wrong but I personally think it’s sooooo right? Eager to hear your thoughts! You know how much I adore the festival. It’s such a special treat. I’ve been up since dawn desperate to get to the course…what a week we have ahead.”
