Privacy NoticeThe X Factor heartthrob Joe McElderry looked worlds away from the fresh-faced singer who stole hearts on the show back in 2009 in his holiday snaps. The now 33 year old star, who clinched the top spot with his hit single The Climb, has been wowing fans with his transformation nearly 15 years after his big win. Joe recently treated his Instagram followers to a glimpse of his sun-soaked getaway in Montenegro, where he was pictured radiating happiness as he leaned against a balcony with an Aperol Spritz in hand. Dressed casually in a beige tee, white shorts and barefoot, Joe’s holiday vibe had fans flocking to the comments section to shower him with compliments.

Fans couldn’t resist pointing out his summer glow, with one admirer posting: “Lovely glow to match your Aperol!! xx.” Others joined in to praise his relaxed appearance, with comments like “Beautiful, so relaxed,” accompanied by a heart emoji, and “Lovely holiday photos Joe!” Supportive messages continued to pour in, with another fan noting: “It’s good to see you relaxed and happy.” Someone else remarked on his tan, saying: “You look lovely and tanned hope you’re having a nice holiday”, reports the Mirror. Hailing from South Shields, Joe triumphed over Olly Murs in the ITV competition’s sixth series. He also found himself up against Rage Against the Machine for the coveted UK Christmas number one slot. Despite his efforts, the rap metal band’s 1992 track Killing In The Name Of claimed the top position following a massive download campaign by music enthusiasts aiming to disrupt the show’s dominance. While he’s had ups and downs, Joe’s career has been nothing short of impressive.
