Following the resounding success of its first two seasons, set in Hawaii and Sicily, the critically acclaimed series is back with a third chapter, transporting viewers to a picturesque Thai resort. Jason, 61, steps into the shoes of Timothy, a hard-nosed tycoon enjoying a retreat at the resort with his wife Victoria and their children Saxon, Piper, and Lochlan. But Timothy’s struggle with the resort’s no-phones policy goes haywire when he starts getting calls from an inquisitive journalist. With the series continuing to reel in fans, Jason joined Alex Jones and Roman Kemp on The One Show, where the pair eagerly probed for glimpses into what the new series holds. Alex dove straight in: “This is very exciting because people loved the first and second series and now the third series is finally here and it has been a bit of a wait for this one.”

Her curiosity was palpable as she questioned: “What can you tell us about the third series?” Prompting laughter, Jason jokingly responded: “Absolutely nothing, interview over.” But he did let on a little tease: “All my friends and family have been asking ‘what happens, just tell me who dies’ and I go ‘alright’ but then they go ‘no don’t tell me.’ So it’s been quite hard to talk about it but it’s better, I think, than the first two series. I can tell you that.”, reports the Mirror.

Teasing the new show, the star dished: “It’s Mike White, who is a genius storyteller, introducing a bunch of reprobates to one of the world’s most luxurious resorts and because we are all watching it they have a terrible time.” He went on to add some juicy details about the setting: “It is set in Thailand this time. He chose that place because people go on the search for spirituality or discovery of the self but through the prism of their rich entitlement and hijinks ensue. Terrible things happen to some people and wonderful things happen for others. There’s flesh, tofu, sex, drugs, rock n roll and meditation.” The One Show airs weekdays from 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer
