Privacy NoticeLeAnn Rimes is the latest face to join The Voice as a judge, following the exit of Olly Murs and Anne-Marie. The US star joins the panel alongside fellow newcomers Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones of boyband McFly. LeAnn boasts plenty of experience and will no doubt prove to be a great mentor to the hopefuls on the ITV show, which returns to TV screens on Saturday, 31 August. Away from television, LeAnn, 41, is happily married to Eddie Cibrian, with the duo having tied the knot 13 years ago. Prior to this, LeAnn was married to dancer Dean Sheremet. She has spoken openly about her divorce from Dean and even touched upon how the heartbreak impacted her weight at the time.

Following noticeable weight loss, LeAnn hit out at critics and revealed weight fluctuations are a “natural progression of life”. She also slammed speculation that she was suffering from an eating disorder. She previously told Associated Press: “[When I] was going through a divorce and I couldn’t get out of bed… I gained 10 pounds, and then I lost 10 pounds because now I’m moving around and I’m working. I don’t stop, and no one sees that [weight loss] actually can happen like naturally. It’s a natural progression of life.” She then added: “It has to be some big deal and some issue. I’m glad there are people out there that are smarter than that and they don’t buy into it.” Then, in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, LeAnn addressed rumours that were circulating about her weight loss. She said: “[The press has] been very irresponsible [about] calling a lot of people fat or anorexic or bulimic or whatever it may be. It seems like bullying now instead of really taking these diseases seriously that a lot of people are going through.”

LeAnn has joined the judges panel on The Voice

LeAnn has joined both UK and Australian editions of The Voice as a coach for the 2024 series. She branded the opportunity an “honour” in a statement ahead of both series beginning. “What an honor and rare opportunity it is to be asked to coach on both, The Voice Australia and The Voice UK. I’m looking forward to discovering new voices across these nations, mentoring the next generation of talent and sharing my heart, not only with these gifted vocalists, but with the Australian and UK fans. I have experienced so much love from both countries throughout my career and I look forward to deepening that connection during my time on The Voice,” LeAnn said.
