Privacy NoticeThe Chase’s Darragh Ennis has revealed why he rarely hangs out with his co-stars away from the screen. Speaking on Jaack Maate’s Happy Hour podcast, revealing they don’t often socialise outside of work due to differing lifestyles. When asked about group outings, he said, “Not really, no. So, we all live very different lives, we actually don’t see each other that much in the studio. “Things like award shows, big events like that, we go out together and I went to Jenny’s (Ryan) birthday party a couple of years ago, that was great fun, I went to Paul Sinha’s wedding, even though I hadn’t appeared on the show at the point, it was very nice of him to invite me along.” Discussing why they don’t meet up more often, Darragh highlighted distance and family commitments: “I live in Oxford, I’ve got small kids and Mark lives up in the north or he lives in the midlands. We live miles away from each other. We’re work friends and we get along and we have a WhatsApp group and we chat to each other, but we don’t go out.”

Darragh shared he has a close bond with certain co-stars, particularly Jenny Ryan. “We’re closer in age, so we’re a lot younger than the others, so we’re in our 40s and they’re in their 50s and 60s. I’m pretty close to Paul as well, he’s a really good guy and he really helped me out.” He also mentioned how he spends time with Mark Labbett: “And then, I spend a lot of time with Mark actually, because we stay over in the hotel when we’re recording (the show) and we kind of hang out and have dinner,” reports the Mirror. The popular ITV game show, The Chase, first hit our screens on June 29, 2009 and has been a roaring success ever since, pulling in an impressive three to five million viewers per episode. Darragh, also known as ‘the Menace’ on the show, initially appeared as a contestant where he triumphed over Paul Sinha in 2017. However, it wasn’t until 2020 that he joined the ranks of the Chasers.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
