Privacy NoticeIt’s been a journey of eight years since Chloe Patton first shared her unexpected pregnancy on Teen Mom UK at just 17, and now, as she celebrates her tenth series on the hit show, fans are in for a sweet surprise – she’s expecting again! The 26-year-old reality TV favourite, who is already mum to son Marley with her fiancé Jordan Edwards, revealed back in September that their family is set to grow – and this time, she’s tackling the pregnancy differently. Reflecting on her early days on the show, Chloe reminisced in an exclusive chat: “I look back on series one and I’m a child with this tiny baby.” She’s confident that her second go at motherhood will be a whole new ball game, saying, “It will definitely be a different experience this time. We’re more financially stable, we’re older, we’re wiser. Jordan is going to be such a hands-on dad – he’s always been amazing but he wanted the baby even more than I did!”

The couple decided to take the leap into expanding their family amidst the slow transformation of their Nottingham home, which became their new abode last year. Chloe also shared the casual approach they took towards growing their family. “I had my contraception out at the end of last year so we left it in the universe’s hands. It was a lovely surprise,” she revealed. The couple had a laid-back attitude towards having another baby, with Chloe explaining, “Jordan and I both said that when we had finished renovating the bedroom, we would be more chilled about having another child. Once that was finished, the stress was done and we thought, ‘If it happens, it happens.'” Chloe has confessed that her current pregnancy feels more “draining” than her previous one nearly a decade ago. She said, “I found out at ten weeks last time so I was carrying on life as normal as I didn’t even know I was pregnant. Maybe I was getting exhausted but didn’t notice. This time, my body has been shattered but I’ve been really lucky in that there’s no sickness.” In contrast to her first pregnancy with Marley, Chloe is resolved to proudly show off her baby bump this time around. She shared, “When I was pregnant last time, I didn’t leave the house until I was seven or eight months along. I was so young, I was so scared of what people were going to think. Whereas now, I’m embracing it. I still feel really young but I have friends that are having kids now – it’s more normal.” Sign up to OK!’s TV newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

Chloe is back for the tenth series of Teen Mom UK alongside Mia, Amber and Sassi

The couple revealed their thrilling news to their families after the UEFA Euro final in July. Chloe recalled, “We brought out a jumper that we had bought for Marley, it said: ‘Promoted to big brother.’ My mum was nearly crying and my dad was really teary, which isn’t like my dad. They were super chuffed.” Meanwhile, Marley is eagerly anticipating the arrival of his new sibling. Chloe said, “He’s been asking for a baby brother or sister since he was four. When he was five, he was obsessed with having a little sister and he even asked for one in a letter to Santa for years. He’s so excited, he’s going to be absolutely fantastic.” Chloe opened up about her recent struggles and the good news amidst them all in a heart-warming chat. Overwhelmed by adversity in the new series, she shared, “It’s one blow after another, it was a really hard couple of months,” reflecting on personal losses and her dad’s health scare. “I lost my friend, my grandma passed away and then my dad was diagnosed with cancer. A lot of things happen in such a small space of my life. I haven’t moved on but every day gets easier. One of my faults is that I’m not good at talking about my emotions but having the camera there with no one to judge, it’s like a counselling session in a way. I had such a supportive camera crew on the ground who made it a lot easier.”

She bravely admitted her challenges: “I lost my friend, my grandma passed away and then my dad was diagnosed with cancer. A lot of things happen in such a small space of my life. I haven’t moved on but every day gets easier. One of my faults is that I’m not good at talking about my emotions but having the camera there with no one to judge, it’s like a counselling session in a way. I had such a supportive camera crew on the ground who made it a lot easier.” With her father now in recovery, Chloe expressed relief and gratitude: “He’s got the all-clear. He has to be checked regularly but the operation went really well – that was a good end to the series.” And amid the family’s struggles, Chloe found solace in her pregnancy, which she believes was a gift from her late grandmother. “I think she sent me this baby to bring some joy in the really hard year that we’ve had,” she said with a smile, adding, “My dad is really excited to have another grandbaby.” On the show, Chloe celebrates a decade with her partner Jordan Edwards. The couple, who got engaged in 2022, have come a long way since their early days as young parents on the show. “We’re not really shouters, maybe when we were teenagers but now, we wouldn’t scream and shout at each other,” she shared. “We talk about it. Our communication is so much better now than it’s ever been and I feel like Jordan has grown up so much. A lot of our arguments in the past stemmed from him not helping when he was 17, he hadn’t made a bed before.

“Everyone has disagreements but we have more patience now. We haven’t got a tiny baby at 17, squashed in my mum and dad’s room. I try to see where he’s coming from and he does the same with me – especially as parents. I would never go against him in front of Marley. That’s what makes us a good team.” Despite sharing the screen with co-stars Sassi Simmonds, Mia Boardman and Amber Butler, Chloe admits that meeting up in person can be challenging. “We talk all the time on our group chat,” she says. “We have a good gossip about how our series went but we’re so far away. There’s always one of us that isn’t free. We were going to go to Alton Towers, but now I’m pregnant so I’m the inconvenience here!” Teen Mom UK airs Wednesday 16th October at 8pm on MTV UK.
