Privacy NoticeRyan Murphy, the mastermind behind the new spine-chilling series Grotesquerie, has spilled some tea about working with Travis Kelce and the support he received from Taylor Swift on the project. The buzz around Murphy hasn’t died down since his polarising Netflix series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story hit the screens. Now, he’s back with Grotesquerie, set to premiere on FX this Wednesday (September 25). The show promises weekly doses of horror as it follows a detective and a nun delving into the eerie crimes of a small town. Starring Niecy Nash of Dahmer fame as Detective Lois Tryon, with Nicholas Alexander Chavez and NFL sensation Travis Kelce in a mysterious supporting role, the series is already creating waves, reports the Mirror.

In a candid chat with E! News, Murphy couldn’t help but praise Kelce’s performance: “He’s so charismatic and he’s so smart, he’s lovely. I think if Travis wants to be a big movie star he can do it. You can see in the show [that] he can act and he’s talented. I think the world is his oyster.” Murphy also touched on the ‘Love Story’ singer’s influence, revealing that Swift is “very supportive of him [Travis]. If he has an interest, she wants him to try it.” He continued by saying that all he’s ever heard are “sweet and lovely things” about the pop icon. Kelce’s co-star Niecy Nash gushed over his upcoming performance in an exclusive chat with TMZ Sports, ensuring fans they’ll be “pleasantly surprised” by what the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has to offer.
