ITV bosses are reportedly hoping she’ll dish the dirt on life with hubby Wayne Rooney, who’s currently managing Plymouth Argyle, as well as her high-profile Wagatha Christie court case and fallout with Rebekah Vardy. A source close to Coleen told The Sun that her sons Kai, 14, Klay, 11, Kit, 8, and Cass, 6, were a big factor in her decision to join the show, as they’ve loved watching previous series together.

With Wayne back in Blighty after his stint managing in the States and the Rooneys being “an incredibly tight-knit family, who can help out with childcare while she is away,” the timing couldn’t be better for Coleen to take on the jungle. The source added: “Her boys will love watching her on the show. She isn’t a fan of bugs and creepy-crawlies or sleeping outdoors, but she is up for a challenge and has great determination.” Fans of the show are buzzing with excitement at the prospect of Coleen, who gained public support for her handling of the Wagatha Christie scandal, outlasting Rebekah, who had a short stay on I’m A Celeb when she appeared in the 2017 series. After their epic legal tussle, which saw Coleen triumph, an insider told The Sun on Sunday: “I’m A Celeb bosses have pulled off a huge coup getting Coleen for the jungle this year and the team are thrilled to have her on board… Coleen has a huge fanbase and she won massive plaudits for her classy handling of the Wagatha Christie case.”
