Privacy Notice Strictly’s Nadiya Bychkova has taken to social media to comment on reports that she raised concerns to the BBC about the show. The 34 year old dancer from Ukraine, who reportedly split from her boyfriend, fellow dancer Kai Widdrington, earlier this week, took to Instagram on Friday 19 July after it was reported that she and Kai were keen to talk to the BBC as part of the current investigation into Strictly Come Dancing practices. Nadiya posted two photos with her seven year old daughter Mila enjoying the sunshine, and wrote: “There have been lots of Strictly rumours around in the last few days and I just wanted you to know that I have not complained about the programme. I am looking forward to the new series and can’t wait for it to start.” She ended the post by adding: “Enjoying a wonderful weekend with my family.” Fans rushed to comment on her post, with one writing: “So glad to hear you’re okay! Can’t wait for the new series either and hoping you get a partner this year too!” while another added: “Glad you are ok and that you have put the record straight xxx.” Sign up to OK’s TV newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

A third said: “It’s a real shame that this situation has happened. You have always been held in the utmost respect as far as I am concerned. Like you I am very much looking forward to the new series and will be wishing you all the very best.” The BBC are currently conducting an investigation following allegations of celebrity dancers being mistreated during training. Amanda Abbington was the first celebrity to come forward, claiming her experience with dance professional Giovanni Pernice gave her PTSD. Giovanni has denied allegations about his teaching methods. While recently axed dancer Graziano Di Prima has admitted he kicked Love Island star Zara McDermott during rehearsals last year.

Asked for comment about the investigation, a spokesperson for the BBC said: “We will not be commenting on individuals or engaging in/with speculation. However, as we have said previously we will always listen if people want to make us aware of something or raise it with us directly and we have appropriate procedures and processes in place to manage this.” New procedures are also being put in place for the next series of Strictly, for the safety of both celebrities and the professional dancers on the show. There will be a member of BBC staff present at every training session and rehearsal, and the introduction of a celebrity welfare producer and a professional dancer welfare producer.
