Privacy NoticeStrictly Come Dancing’s Chris McCausland is set to make history as the first blind contestant on the show and he’s bringing back a Strictly classic for his debut. The comedian will be performing a Cha Cha with dance partner Dianne Buswell to ‘Twist and Shout’ by The Beatles, a song that will bring back memories for many fans as it was once famously performed by journalist John Sergeant and his then dance partner Kristina Rihanoff in 2008. But they’re not the only ones taking on the Cha Cha on the opening night – Dr Punam Krishan and Gorka Marquez are also tackling the dance, choosing Kylie Minogue’s ‘Love at First Sight’ as their soundtrack. The live show on Saturday (September 21) will see all 15 celebrity contestants and their professional partners take to the dance floor for the first time.

Swimmer Tom Dean and Nadiya Bychkova will be dancing a Tango to Harry Styles ‘ ‘Golden’ and Toyah Wilcox and Neil Jones have chosen Madonna’s ‘Ray of Light’ for their Tango.
