Privacy NoticeStrictly Come Dancing star Kristina Rihanoff has confessed to feeling ‘mum guilt’ after her eight year old daughter danced for 12 hours in one day for a competition. The pro dancer, who met her fiancé and former rugby player Ben Cohen on the BBC show, also admitted she ‘pushes’ their daughter, Mila to do her best. Kristina, 47, who left Strictly in 2015, was partnered with Ben, 45, for the 11th series of the Glitzy show and their romance quickly blossomed. In 2016, Kristina and Ben welcomed their first child, Mila and in 2022 got engaged during a luxurious getaway in the Maldives.

At just eight years old it seems that their daughter is following in Kristina’s footsteps, striving for success as a dancer. In August, Mila won the award for Juvenile Ballroom & Latin Soloist Of The Year and at another event, danced a whopping 140 dances over 12 hours. Kristina, a Russian professional ballroom dancer, spoke to Closer magazine and revealed Mila danced from around 8am to 8pm with little breaks. The proud mum shared: “She was incredible and had around 140 dances. I did feel a bit of guilt as a dance mum, pushing her to dance for 12 hours, but she was fine.” She added: “Afterwards she was doing somersaults and headstands – I was exhausted just watching her!” Earlier this month, it was reported that Kristina and Ben are “fighting to save their home and relationship”, he has revealed while talking about their money woes. The revelation came out in court, where the couple were appearing for offences related to their car.

The Strictly professional and former Rugby World Cup winner, appeared at Northampton Crown Court after Kristina was caught driving her Audi Q3 car, worth £30,000, without any insurance this April. The couple went to court with Ben acting as Kristina’s witness. Ben gave an emotional 20 minute long account to the court explaining the couple’s troubles which had led to the offence. He revealed: “I get up every day and I fight not to lose everything – to lose my cars and my house and my relationship.” The rugby player added: “We’re still living together… We’re in it financially. We’re in business together so the problem is that we opened the business before Covid and we got the worst severities of it and in all honestly this is just another problem for me to deal with.” Sign up to OK!’s daily newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

Ben continued: “I’ve got credit cards that are overdrawn. I’m overdrawn in both accounts. We have got a business debt because of Covid. It’s just another problem.” During the hearing, Kristina cried and had to leave the court with her hands over her mouth as she felt ill, before sitting through the rest of the hearing wrapped in a blanket and dabbing her eyes with a tissue. The court heard that Kristina needed to drive around the country to judge ballroom dancing competitions, from which she earns £2,000 a month, and to drive their daughter to school.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
