Privacy Notice Good Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley has come out in support of former Strictly Come Dancing professional Ola Jordan amidst the resurfacing of past complaints. Back in 2014, Ola, who exited the show in 2015, was paired with Steve Backshall and faced criticism for her allegedly harsh treatment of him during rehearsals. Accusations labelled her as distant, impolite, and difficult to work with. On Tuesday’s GMB episode, Richard Madeley addressed the controversy by questioning Ola’s current involvement with the show: “She left ages ago, didn’t she? I thought she was great! Loved her.” READ MORE: Will Young teases major McDonald and Dodds spoiler during The One Show appearance MORE TV: Legendary Britain’s Got Talent duo announce they’ve split – and they look very different these days

Entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold concurred, reminiscing: “Terrific, yeah. Fond memories of our time with all the pros.” Madeley then downplayed the severity of the allegations, stating: “There are worse things than being a bit rude and a bit cold, aren’t there? If that’s true,” reports the Mirror. After an awkward pause, Richard Arnold simply added: “Yes, indeed,” before swiftly moving the discussion to other Strictly news involving Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima. In a recent development, Giovanni was dropped from the forthcoming series amid claims he had been verbally and physically aggressive towards Zara McDermott during practice sessions.

Following his exit, Giovanni expressed his remorse, saying: “I deeply regret the events that led to my departure from Strictly.” “My intense passion and determination to win might have affected my training regime. Respecting the BBC HR process, I understand it’s best for the show that I step away.” This comes after last year’s claims involving professional dancer Giovanni Pernice from his former dance partner Amanda Abbington. The actress exited the series mid-season and later revealed she was diagnosed with mild PTSD following her time on the programme. Amanda opened up to the Sun on Sunday about her experience, alleging Giovanni’s behaviour towards her was “unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean”. Nonetheless, Giovanni has strongly refuted any allegations of abusive conduct.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
