Privacy NoticeStrictly Come Dancing viewers are rife with speculation that Nick Knowles might have hung up his dancing shoes for good after they spotted a few telling signs from the DIY SOS star. Nick was seen cheering from the audience at the weekend, having sustained a second injury during his stint on the BBC favourite. His first mishap occurred when he hurt his shoulder changing a car tyre at the roadside. Sporting a sling on BBC2’s It Takes Two, he recounted the “painful” ordeal that happened en route to a birthday bash on September 22, but still got the green light to dance that week.

However, the plot thickened when Nick revealed another setback. “During our first dress rehearsal today, or run-through of the dance number on the stage, unfortunately I damaged my knee and it’s quite painful. So the physios have decided I need to go for a MRI,” he explained. Dance partner Luba Mushtuk chimed in with some hopeful words. “Unfortunately we will not be dancing tomorrow but we really, really hope that the knee will be better for the next week and we’ll be back on the dancefloor. Fingers crossed, we really hope that we’ll be back and see you guys very soon,” she added, reports the Mirror. Sign up to OK’s TV newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

Nick remained upbeat, vowing to return, crutches and all, as he explained that “even if we have to glitter up the crutches, I am determined to get back and try and dance for you next week.” However, while Nick has been given a free pass to the third week of the popular BBC dance competition after missing Movie Week, an update on his condition is expected to be revealed on the companion show It Takes Two on Wednesday, 9 October- with Strictly fans convinced it’s not good news for Nick. Devoted fans think they’ve already figured out Nick’s fate after discovering intriguing online clues. “It looks like has withdrawn from #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing. The routines for Week 4 have just been revealed and he’s not on the list,” one fan wrote on X.

When sharing the rest of the line-up’s routines on Facebook, the official Strictly account stated: “We will update you with more news on Nick when we have it.” This sparked concerns among fans that Nick might be leaving the show, with one writing: “I think the lack of tunes on Tuesday suggests that they don’t know whether Nick will be able to dance yet.” Head judge Shirley Ballas provided an update on Nick’s situation. Nick’s future on the show is uncertain, though Shirley, who shared her insights during an appearance on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio UK, explained that she was hopeful. “Apparently, he is possibly on the mend,” she said. She then confessed she “wasn’t sure” what injuries he had sustained. She continued: “We are hoping that by the weekend he will be back because he is an asset to the show.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
