Privacy NoticeA third duo is set to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing during tonight’s (13 October) results show, but with the show pre-recorded, an online account has leaked which celebrity hasn’t made it through to next week. Despite the BBC’s earnest attempts to preserve the mystery for a full day, every Saturday since 2012 has seen the ousted duos’ names get out online. Understandably, leaks like these have distressed the Strictly ensemble, prompting even judge Anton Du Beke to lament that such spoilers are “ruining” the experience for the show’s viewers, reports the Express.

This week, history repeated itself with the ousted celebrity of the weekend leaking online, however, OK! will not repeat the duo that have been axed. A certain spoiler account posted: “With movie week a distant memory, the next major milestone our 13 remaining couples are aiming for is Halloween. But there’s still a few weeks until we go trick or treating. The BBC might want you to wait to learn the results but I’m happy to tell you the identity of the latest couple who has left the Strictly ballroom.” This sparked frenzy online, with many sharing their beliefs that the right couple was sent home. Using X – formerly known as Twitter – one disgruntled viewer erupted: “Thank god for the judges! ! ” while another concurred, expressing dismay at the evening’s judging: “Oh this scoring is all over the place tonight #Strictly.”

One viewer shared: “Wow I was surprised to see them in the dance off but the booted star was the right choice to go”, while another agreed: “I agree with the result. The right couple was saved.” Olympian Tom Dean was the first contestant to be sent home, facing elimination in week two of the show. Tom and his partner Nadiya Bychkova found themselves in the bottom two, performing their Cha Cha to Earth, Wind and Fire’s Boogie Wonderland for a second time. After the judges chose to save Toyah Wilcox, Tom reflected on his Strictly experience, saying: “I’ve had the best time the last few weeks and getting to work with Nadiya has been incredible.” While she may have made it through to movie week by the skin of her teeth, Toyah and her partner Neil Jones were sent home last week as the second couple to be voted out.
