Privacy Notice Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left “disappointed” after making one realisation about Chris McCausland on this year’s show. Since making his debut on the Strictly dance floor last month, comedian Chris, who is partnered with Dianne Buswell, has become a favourite among viewers at home thanks to his quick wit and incredible moves – some even revealed that they’d been brought to tears after seeing him impress the judges. However, despite winning over viewers of the show, some fans have said that they’ve been left upset after speculating that Chris may not be joining the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour for one particular reason.

Following each series of Strictly Come Dancing, some contestants and professional dancers head on tour where they bring the Strictly experience to arenas across the UK. This year, all four judges, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood, will be heading on the road too. And while it’s not been confirmed which of this year’s celebrity contestants will be joining them, some have speculated that Chris may not be part of the line-up as he has existing commitments. As one fan pointed out on Facebook, Chris’ Yonks! tour kicks off on 18 January – just one day after the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour begins in Birmingham. “Just noticed Chris won’t be able to do the tour next year as he’s doing his own comedy tour that starts 18 January, such a shame,” one fan wrote one Facebook. In response, others took to the social media platform to share their sadness at the possibility of Chris not taking part. “Where is he on at please. Disappointed he isn’t doing the tour. But it will be good whoever is dancing,” added another. “Such a shame he would have been great on it too,” wrote a third. OK! approached the BBC for comment on the matter.

It comes after Chris revealed on last week’s show that he wasn’t happy with an aspect of the show. After dancing a foxtrot to Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy, the comedian joked that he was at a disadvantage as his performance clashed with the Liverpool FC vs Wolverhampton Wanderers Premier League match. After his routine, Claudia Winkleman asked Chris how he was feeling post-performance. “I’m not happy to be honest as they’ve put me on 10 minutes before the Liverpool game ends. That’s half of Liverpool watching the football, that’s half of my core voter group,” he laughed.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
