Privacy NoticeCraig Revel Horwood’s ‘favourite EastEnder’ Jamie Borthwick wowed judges and the public with his Paso Doble on this weeks Strictly Come Dancing. The judges awarded Jamie and his dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas an incredible 39, just one mark off a full house. With roars of cheers from the crowd, Jamie and Michelle were given 10s from Motsi, Anton and Shirley, while Craig settled for a 9. The 30 year old dressed as a matador for his Paso Doble to the flamenco song Malaguena by Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona. Their impressive score put them as joint top in the series, alongside former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and her partner Aljaž Škorjanec with their score last week.

Craig was full of praise for the duo, as Anton Du Beke said “you will never dance a better dance than that, you were brilliant,” and it seemed like fans over on X, formerly known as Twitter agreed as they took to the platform to praise the pair. “Holy moly! Where on earth did Jamie Borthwick pull THAT Paso Doble from?! Did you see those Spanish lines?? He was giving me masculinity in abundance!! Best Paso I’ve ever seen, like ever!!” exclaimed one fan, while another said: “OW THAT WAS A TRADITIONAL PASODOBLE!!!!! Great leadership, high drama. Great intention, brilliant shaping. Jamie led this dance brilliantly! His best dance to date. WHAT A DANCE!” A third exclaimed: “I am SPEECHLESS! In the words of EastEnd Craig PASO-BLEEDING-TASTIC! A 10 from me and one of my favourite performances and dances of the season so far! Fantastic Paso Doble in every single way amazing Jamie and Michelle!”

However, it wasn’t just his dance moves that gained the attention of fans, his tight outfit didn’t go unnoticed. The EastEnders actor built up a sweat in his monochrome matador outfit, as one fan joked: “Has Jamie upset someone in the wardrobe department?” “Christ you can see almost everything Jamie has to offer in that outfit,” said a second, while a third laughed: “They did Jamie wrong with that outfit bless him!” Others were loving the look as one penned: “Jamie and Paso…..greaat music, great outfits, he’s turning into a fab dancer, well done Big 9!” Jamie and Michelle share undeniable chemistry on the dancefloor, but the actor shut down any rumours of a romance last week, as he told The Mirror: “The idea of that whole Strictly curse, well it’s definitely not going to be a thing here because it would be weird doing that with my sister. Michelle and I met before Strictly and we instantly had a connection. But she is like a sister, an aunt, a mum, a best friend.
