Privacy Notice With many of 2024’s Strictly Come Dancing stars already announced, the line-up is nearly complete for the show’s 20th birthday year. However, there are a couple of names yet to be announced, and show bosses are keen to keep them under wraps until the time is right – but it turns out that it’s easier said than done! Two unannounced contestants have been caught on camera being smuggled in through side door of a studio where the other contestant had been arriving all morning. The mystery stars has wore hoods and dark glasses to keep them incognito as they rushed the few feet from their cars to the entrance to the studio while show production staff tried to shield them from view.

So far, the reveal of the stars has been a carefully orchestrated campaign by show producers, with names unveiled day by day on big TV shows Like This Morning and on national radio. However, these two being caught on camera entering the studios has rather ruined the official announcement. But who are the mystery stars? Well, stop reading now if you’d rather wait for the official news.
Nick Knowles was spotted
According to onlookers, the first of the celebs is TV DIY guru Nick Knowles, who has been a favourite for the show since rumours started circulating earlier this year. The DIY SOS presenter has certainly been a popular TV face for many years and is bound to be a welcome addition to the show. The star has reported been in talks for months and ‘willing to give anything a crack’ according to sources.

And the second star being smuggled in as identified as football star Paul Merson. Former Arsenal player and Sky Sport’s pundit Paul, 56, is this one of this year’s big sports signing on the show. The athlete played for Arsenal between 1985 and 1997, represented England and eared 21 caps for his country. Meanwhile, with his years spent battling addiction, he brings with him a strong story which could tug on viewers heartstrings. These two signings join the already announced star line up for 2024 Strictly Come Dancing. Names also signed up this year include ex-Corrie star Shayne Ward, Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri, comedian Chris McCausland and Miranda star Sarah Hadland.
