Privacy NoticeStrictly Come Dancing’s professional dancer Kai Widdrington may not have a celebrity partner this year, but he’s still very much part of the show. The pros who don’t get paired up usually still participate in all group dances, and Kai seemed just as involved as if he had had a partner. However, his excitement led to a minor mishap, when he accidentally hit his head – something most viewers probably missed. It wasn’t until Kai rewatched the episode the next day that he noticed the incident, cheekily asking his Instagram followers “anyone see?”. He posted a video on Instagram showing him jumping for joy amidst cheers from the audience, reports the Express. But in his enthusiasm, Kai bumped his head on a glitterball and was seen rubbing it afterwards, while someone nearby checked on him.

Despite the mishap, Kai remained in high spirits, continuing to smile as the contestants’ and crowd’s excitement filled the room. Kai later joked about the incident on Instagram, writing: “Anyone else see mr smash my head on a glitterball behind @paulmersonofficial [laughing emoji].” Meanwhile, fans were left disappointed when it was announced that Kai wouldn’t be paired with a celebrity this year. He last graced the dance floor in 2023 with Angela Rippon – who made history as the show’s oldest contestant – and after some dazzling performances, they were a hot topic of conversation on the show.

Unfortunately, this year he’s joined a few other fan favourites as professionals, rather than dancers – a choice that’s provoked its fair share of backlash. Lauren Oakley and Carlos Gu were also left partnerless this year, but they’ll still be making appearances on our screens each week.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
