The Strictly Come Dancing winner shared a snap of his new hairdo on Instagram, revealing he’d undergone a change “for the summer”. Bill, 59, who won Strictly in 2020 with professional dancer Oti Mabuse, usually sports a ‘skullet’ – a series of long, grey hair at the back of his head, which is otherwise bald. He also has a short beard and moustache. However, Bill has chosen to cut off his hair entirely now and embrace being completely bald, marking the beginning of a brand new look.

“Had a bit of a trim for the summer,” he captioned a photograph of himself on Instagram. The snap showed Bill look to the side, with his freshly shaven head clearly on show. Fans couldn’t believe his transformation, with one saying: “That’s a serious milestone!!!” while a second added: “Oh wow, that’s fantastic, I love it, very nice.” “Who are you and what have you done with Bill?! Almost unrecognisable!” another joked. A fourth fan said: “Suits you sir,” and a fifth added: “YESSSS!”

Bill has previously spoken about his ‘skullet’, admitting it would attract attention when he was out in public. Back in 2021, he spoke to The Guardian about the style being his “trademark”. “I am happy with the fact that, through no effort of my own, I have effected some sort of style – the skullet. I have trapped my hair in the electric window of a car a couple of times and caught it in the door of a tube,” he said. “I had to stand with my head at a crazy angle until we got to the next stop and I was released. I get called a hobbit or a roadie/hippy/wizard, and it’s all down to the hair. It’s my trademark.”
The comedian usually sports a ‘skullet’
It wasn’t always this way, however. The 59 year old, known for appearing on Never Mind The Buzzcocks, explained that he would often have a “short back and sides” style as a youngster, as a family member would regularly cut his hair. Speaking to Weekend magazine back in January, Bill said: “My grandfather fancied himself as a hairdresser. He had scissors, a cape, a chair and clippers as well as hair oil and other products.
