Privacy NoticeStrictly Come Dancing fans went wild for Tess Daly’s glittering outfit as she and co-host Claudia Winkleman strutted onto the stage for the show’s Movie Week. As ever, neither of the pair got involved in the film theme, which saw Shirley Ballas dressed as Mary Poppins and Craig Revel-Horwood as Captain Jack Sparrow. One viewer raved: “Tess’ blue sequinned jumpsuit” followed by the love-heart eyes emoji. Another wrote: “Oooooh double pant suit. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman opened Strictly’s Movie Week

There was much less love for this week’s musical number, which saw the Strictly pros dress up as the Minions. One appalled viewer wrote: “I don’t have enough words to describe the horrors of the minions dance pls never again.” Another wrote of the routine, which saw Kai Widdrington dressed up as Gru with the other stars painted yellow and playing quick-stepping Minions: “Somehow that minions dance was worse than i actually imagined.” Another stated dramatically: “This minion dance is gonna give me nightmares for years to come.” However, some applauded it – sort of. One viewer wrote: “This minions routine is genuinely the most unhinged thing I have ever laid eyes upon and I cannot help but stan.” Another insisted: “I want minions, every week….” Tess and Claudia opened the action tonight with an update on Nick Knowles, who has been ruled out of performing tonight after sustaining an injury. The news that Nick would not be able to dance was announced on Friday, but they confirmed he would be given a pass to skip this week’s show and return next week.

As per the rules of the competition, Nick and Luba will receive a bye through to next week when he is hopefully able to dance again. Everyone at Strictly Come Dancing wishes Nick a speedy recovery.” DIY: SOS star Nick was spotted looking thoughtful in a car being driven by his girlfriend on the way to the Strictly studio tonight, where he is expected to watch his fellow dancers compete in the themed evening.
