Privacy NoticeStrictly Come Dancing is set to return to our TV screens in just a few weeks and ahead of the new series the full line-up has finally been revealed. Viewers will be joined by 15 famous contestants, who will take to the dance floor in hopes of walking away with the iconic Glitter Ball trophy. Earlier this week, the final three Strictly stars were announced as Nick Knowles, Sam Quek and Paul Merson. They’ll join a string of stars including The Only Way is Essex star Pete Wicks and Sprinter Montell Douglas. Now with the full line-up confirmed, bookies have made predictions on who could win the BBC hit dance competition. EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwich has been given a huge boost and is currently one of the favourites to win, according to Ladbrokes.

The bookies have installed the soap star, who is well known for his role as Jay Brown, at just 4/1 to win this year’s show, putting him SECOND in the betting, behind only Love Island star Tasha Ghouri (7/2). Elsewhere, Shayne Ward makes up the podium spots at 6/1, with JB Gill currently a 7/1 shot alongside Sam Quek, while Tom Dean (8/1) is the only other name priced shorter than 10/1. Next on the list is sprinter Montell Douglas (14/1), Towie star Pete Wicks 12/1 as well as Dr Punam Krishan, Sarah Hadland and Toyah Willcox have odds of 16/1. Falling at the bottom are Chris McCausland and Nick Knowles with 20/1 and Paul Merson with 28/1 and finally Wynne Evans with 33/1. Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Our traders reckon Tasha is the one to beat on this year’s Strictly, but punters are seemingly convinced Jamie Borthwick will be right up there among the frontrunners.” It comes as Strictly has already been hit with a new fix row as fans are not happy that Tasha is competing because she is a trainer dancer. The 25-year-old, who was born completely deaf and wears a cochlear impant, graduated from Creative Academy with a First Class Honours degree in Dance Performance.

She’s taken part in one of Europe’s biggest dance competitions Move It and has appeared in music videos. Addressing the controversy on Kiss FM she recently said: “I’ve not danced for quite a few years – since Love Island, my career is so different. It’s such a different dance style, I may actually not be good at it, like ballet – I’m not good at ballet. I’m trained in commercial street style. It’s going to be very hard but I’m excited for a challenge.” Meanwhile Jamie’s has also raised a few eyebrows as he won the Christmas special last year paired with Nancy Xu performing the Quickstep.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
