In 2023, the decluttering expert shared her diagnosis of stage one cancer of the womb following surgery for uterine fibroids. Ever transparent with her followers, Dilly has documented her recovery journey on social media, sharing snapshots of her hospital visits and treatments. She underwent a major operation that spanned nearly six hours, where surgeons successfully excised the tumour from her womb. During an intimate chat on ITV’s Lorraine on Tuesday (February 11), Dilly spoke openly about her “tough” fight against cancer and how it impacted her during the production of Sort Your Life Out’s latest series.

Discussing how she managed her emotions amidst her health ordeal, she expressed: “I was like, ‘Well, okay, this is part of my life. I now just have to deal with this… But at the moment, all I need to do is focus on getting better, getting through this moment, and getting to the end,” reports the Mirror. She continued, highlighting her optimistic outlook and the support system that helped her through: “I knew I had a goal, I had a focus. I’m lucky that I’m a positive person. I’m lucky that I saw the light at the end of the tunnel because a lot of people don’t. I was lucky that I had a huge amount of support around me.” Dilly also touched on her dedication to work despite her health challenges: “Throughout my whole cancer journey, I was working, I was filming. The episode that’s come out now was when I was going through treatment when I was really poorly.” She continued: “It’s been an amazing journey, but a tough one, as anyone as a cancer survivor realises. You have this huge amount of survivor’s guilt.
