Privacy Notice Ruth Langsford is set to make her anticipated return to Loose Women this week according to reports. Following a two-month hiatus sparked by her split from Eamonn Holmes, sources close to the beloved presenter have disclosed that the 64-year-old TV presenter has been profoundly impacted by the dissolution of her marriage. However, she’s determined not to let her personal life take centre stage on the show, with insiders saying she’s keen for a ‘business as usual’ approach to her comeback on Monday July 22. A confidant shared insights about Ruth’s mindset since her last ITV appearance in April, revealing: “It has been a tough few weeks but now she feels it is time for her to get back to Loose Women. It is a job she loves doing and even though the split has been very tough, life must go on.”

The insider added, “Just don’t expect any big news or revelations about the divorce, she wants to keep that private.” According to the Mirror, Ruth is expected to reunite with fellow panellists Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards, and Janet Street-Porter, reports the Daily Star. On the other side of things, Eamonn has kept busy with his role at GB News, steering clear of discussing their separation publicly. He recently took on more responsibilities, teaming up with Anne Diamond for an extra weekend show. Eamonn’s latest social media update showed him in high spirits, expressing how much he enjoyed working alongside Anne, with a snapshot capturing him still wearing his wedding ring, a detail that did not go unnoticed by fans.

Despite grappling with the emotional toll of his marriage breakdown, Eamonn is also battling ongoing health issues related to severe back problems. Earlier this month, he shared an update on his progress on social media, saying he was managing to stand and “aiming to walk next”. When a follower commented, “You’re doing well Eamonn”, he responded, “If only, but thanks x”. Eamonn has admitted that he’s “trying” to feel better in response to a fan’s supportive message, amidst his recent split from wife Ruth. Last month, it was reported that another woman has been offering him comfort during their separation.

Katie Alexander, a 42-year-old relationship counsellor, has been spotted with Eamonn several times over the past year, including at his private home, sparking rumours about the nature of their relationship. It’s believed that Ruth was unaware of this growing friendship. Both parties are reportedly keen to finalise their divorce paperwork in the coming months, although insiders suggest there’s still some way to go. At last month’s TRIC awards ceremony, Eamonn confessed, “I’m not OK. This is not a good time at all.” When asked about the future of his relationship with Ruth, he said: “It’s too early to say but I hope we can still be friends.” Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV1 at 12.30pmStory SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
