Privacy NoticeRuth Langsford’s friends are reportedly all for her jumping back into the dating pool following her split from husband Eamonn Holmes. The pair, who used to present This Morning together, called it quits in May after a 14-year-long marriage. Sources claim that Ruth, who regularly appears on Loose Women, is warming up to the thought of finding new love as her friends suggest she should embark on a ‘revenge romance’. “Ruth’s pals have been rallying around the star and telling her to meet someone new,” a source told Bella Magazine. “Ruth has been completely shocked by it all. She doesn’t feel ready, if truth be told, but she has been left reeling after seeing Eamonn get close to a new woman.”

Spilling the beans to Bella magazine, the source said that Ruth’s friends have a ‘long list of men’ they’re eager to set her up with after witnessing her ’emotional roller coaster’. They added: “There have been moments where she has been down, thinking that she would probably never meet another man at her age. But her pals have told her that is ridiculous and simply not true.” Her friends are reportedly convincing her that a ‘revenge romance’ could be just around the corner, possibly as soon as tomorrow ‘if she needs to’, and they can’t stand seeing Ruth doubt herself. With rumours swirling that Eamon has found solace with female friends, Ruth’s circle is keen for her to ‘beat him to it’ reports the Mirror. The telly favourite hasn’t ruled out trying dating apps, a source revealed. The source told Bella magazine that her mates will be there for her when she’s ready to start dating again, which apparently “terrifies” her.

OK! has reached out to Ruth’s reps for a comment. Eamonn and Ruth, who have a 22 year old son together named Jack, told the world they were splitting up in May this year. In November 2023, Eamonn spoke about his relationship while chatting about his GB News co-star Isabel Webster. “She and my wife are incredibly alike,” the 64 year old said, adding that Webster “never shuts up” He went on to say his Loose Women star wife was a “creature of habit”. “They’re both creatures of habit, like routine and do things the same way every day,” he said, before making a cheeky dig at his ex, saying that they both “get on my nerves”. During the same interview with HELLO! Isabel revealed that she and Ruth would often gang up on him. “She sends me messages while we’re on air.” Eamonn and Ruth first met back in 1997 after being introduced by pals.
