Privacy NoticeRosie Jones’ comedy series, Out of Order, returns to Comedy Central tonight (Monday 16 September) with new members of the public all ready to face judgement. Rosie can’t hold the fort alone, and so also returning are her two team captains, Judi Love and Katherine Ryan. Also joining them in the very first episode are guests, Roisin Conaty and Josh Jones. The idea behind the show is that teams of comedians compete to place members of the public in the correct order in a series of revealing categories. It’s all based on judgement and first impressions which is why Rosie believes she’s the perfect face of the series.

Rosie Jones is back with Out of Order on Comedy Central

“People have been judging me for 34 years,” says Rosie, “So I think I am the perfect host for a show like this because let me tell you, being gay, being disabled, being a woman, being a comedian means that people, strangers judge me all day, every day. “I know what that feels like. So when we go ‘let’s judge people’ everyone knows that I will give as good as I get. And whatever I ask you to do, you know I’ve received in turn which makes it a fun and inclusive place.” Sign up to OK!’s TV newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

Judi Love is back as a team captain with various guests including Richard Osman

On having her two team captains by her side, Rosie is thrilled at the all female environment, but says that it was never intentional. “First of all, they are two of the nicest people ever,” she says. “But secondly, two of the funniest and there’s a lot of celebration to be had because this is the first game show where the host, and two team captains are all women. But I need to say that we didn’t choose Katherine and Judi because they were women, I chose them because they were the funniest people for the role. “And all three of our approaches to judging, to comedy, are all so different but it works. We all gel and I think that is because it comes from a place of mutual love and respect for each other.”

Categories in the show vary from questions like ‘who earns the most?’ to ‘who’s had the most one night stands?’ – all made on what the members of the public on the show look like, how they talk and how they dress. So OK! asked Rosie what’s the biggest judgement she thinks people make about her… “Oh my god, have you got all day?” she asks. “It’s not a funny answer, the biggest judgement I get is about my disability. Even now, when people hear my voice, or see me walking, there’s a lot of ignorant comments. Just because I’m disabled it means I’m vulnerable, I’m a victim, I don’t have a job. People still ask me where my carer is or where my mum is and I’m always going ‘I don’t know where my mum is, I think she’s in ASDA in Yorkshire’. “So I get a lot of judgement about my disability. Being a female comedian, oh my god, people say to me ‘I don’t normally find women funny, but you’re good you are’.” Watch Out of Order on Monday 16 September, 9pm, Comedy CentralStory SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
