Privacy NoticeOn BBC’s The One Show, Roman Kemp delivered a stirring homage to the late Liam Payne. He expressed his disbelief over the tragedy, as he and his co-host Alex Jones reflected on the untimely passing of the former One Direction band member. The show took a sombre turn on Thursday evening when Alex and Roman took a moment to honour Liam’s memory before diving into the programme. Liam, aged 31, met with a tragic accident after falling from a third-floor balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at around 5:07 pm on Wednesday. Beginning their tribute, Alex said: “But before we start the show, we also want to pay tributes to Liam Payne, the former One Direction star who sadly died last night. We have had so many messages from fans.” She then proceeded to share heartfelt messages from fans of The One Show. Turning towards Roman, who shared a close friendship with Liam, she allowed him to give his personal recollections. Visibly shaken, Roman remarked: “Yeah, he was a friend of mine, and it’s so surreal talking about it,” reports Wales Online.
