Privacy NoticeGood Morning Britain host Richard Madeley was forced to halt the breakfast show whilst chatting to Myleene Klass during a live interview. During the episode on Wednesday (24 July), Richard and Charlotte Hawkins interviewed Myleene about mental health in children and methods parents can use to try and help them to open up. But suddenly Richard was forced to halt the interview. He had hoped to ask a question about how to access the information, but a producer talking to him through his earpiece told him he wasn’t allowed to ask it. Myleene explained that BUPA offers help on their website: “A lot of people think this is going to be very costly to take part in. It’s free.” Richard asked: “How can people access it?

Myleene responded: “I’m glad you asked, just go to the BUPA website, and there’s loads of videos, there’s loads of advice from professionals. I’m on there talking about my own experience. And there are tips and tricks to get your children talking.” Wanting to know specifics, Richard asked: “So once you go onto the website, what do you punch in? What are you looking for?” Before Myleene had a chance to answer, Richard said: “Oh I’m told I can’t ask that question. I’m so sorry. Apparently we break rules if we do that, I’m so sorry.” “We’ll break rules if we do that. So I’ll avoid that question!” Stepping in, Charlotte interjected: “I think people will have the information that they need, hopefully.”

It comes after Richard Madeley came out in support of former Strictly Come Dancing professional Ola Jordan amidst the resurfacing of past complaints on Tuesday (23 July). Back in 2014, Ola, who exited the show in 2015, was paired with Steve Backshall and faced criticism for her allegedly harsh treatment of him during rehearsals. Accusations labelled her as “distant, impolite, and difficult to work with.” On Tuesday’s GMB episode, Richard addressed the controversy by questioning Ola’s current involvement with the show: “She left ages ago, didn’t she? I thought she was great! Loved her.” Entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold concurred, reminiscing: “Terrific, yeah. Fond memories of our time with all the pros.”

Richard then downplayed the severity of the allegations, stating: “There are worse things than being a bit rude and a bit cold, aren’t there? If that’s true.” After an awkward pause, Richard simply added: “Yes, indeed,” before swiftly moving the discussion to other Strictly news involving Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
