Privacy Notice We all love tucking into an ice lolly when the sunshine is beaming. And luckily for us, you can get your hand on an old classic lolly which is making a comeback. A lot of us have an ice cream we favour – often it being one that we have enjoyed since childhood or pick up as a treat to enjoy in the warm weather. However, it’s likely many of our favourites are no longer on the shelves or have changed over the years. Some of the old simple treats are the most missed – from a Screwball to an Orange Maide, or a Funny Feet to make you giggle. That’s without forgetting a classic freeze pop. However, the good news is that Iceland has brought back some classics before summer arrives. The supermarket is now selling a ‘Dream Team’ collection of six ice lollies in a box from Wall’s, ahead of the UEFA Euro 2024. The box of yummy treats has something for everyone – from chocolate ice cream, those with creamy centres, multi-coloured delights, and fun shaped treats.
New Foods UK shared a picture of the ice lollies on Instagram recently and thousands of people shared their reactions. The picture shows that the box includes a mini Twister. The Twister has been around since the ’80s and continues to be a hit with ice cream fans. Of course a classic choc ice had to be included in the ‘dream team’ box, as well as a rocket-shaped lolly. In 1962 the famous Zoom ‘rocket lolly’ has launched and became widely popular. Over the years supermarkets and brands have created their own versions of the rocket lolly. A dupe of the iconic The Finger lolly has also been included in the mix, as well as one that looks like a foot – nodding to the Funny Feet treat from the 80s. Also resurrected is a version of the Dracula lolly – back in the 70s it was a red and black treat in the shape of a vampire. The gothic treat was later relaunched with an all black exterior and red centre with a Cola coating, strawberry jelly and a vanilla ice cream centre. A number of people reacted to the news, with many particularly excited about the Dracula lolly. One ice lolly fan said: “Looks like you goth lolly in in this!,” as they tagged Dracula lolly-loving friend. Another wrote: “Is that a Dracula? If so, I need these! Dracula and Haunted House were my favourite 70s lollies.” Another, writing on X, said: “The black ice lolly with a red jelly centre of a Count Dracula still shines in my memory as the pinnacle of ice lollies.” “Twister is the best of course, wrote one other.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
