Privacy NoticeJay Blades, famed for The Repair Shop, switched up his workshop tools for DJ decks as he hosted an offbeat late-night MixCloud session, a world away from the seven million viewers who know him from the hit series. Presently absent from our screens due to charges of controlling and coercive behaviour towards his ex-wife Lisa Zbozen, 43, Jay appeared in a relaxed mood during the set wearing a black sweater coupled with his iconic glasses, he introduced himself as Jay Blades MBE on the live stream, where he was spotted raising his hands passionately and engaging warmly with the few midnight viewers.

One surprised fan shared, “I couldn’t believe it when I saw he was online doing a session it’s a website called MixCloud which DJs use. He seemed like a guy without a care in the world, and looked like he was having a few drinks and he was dancing away on his own maybe that is helping to get him through. At the end he said he’d be back online soon and asked viewers to keep an eye on his channels for updates about it.” During the session, he made a mysterious switch to a static image from a special episode where he appeared alongside Judi Dench, despite his television projects being put on pause following the recent charges, reports the Mirror. The Sun reports he will not feature in this year’s The Repair Shop Christmas special on BBC1. Channel 5 have decided to shelve a documentary series that Blades was working on, titled ‘A Country House Through Time’. Additionally, Channel 4 have confirmed they will not be producing a sequel to his recent travelogue with Dame Judi Dench, ‘The Odd Couple’.
