Privacy NoticeQueen Camilla reunited with her ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles, on Thursday evening to celebrate the launch of their son’s new book Cooking & The Crown. Appearing alongside his parents, his sister Laura Lopes and his aunt Annabel Elliot at the Audley Public House in London, food critic Tom Parker Bowles signed copies of his book which contains royal recipes such as Queen Camilla’s porridge and George V’s curry. As the party went on, it was clear that Queen Camilla and her ex-husband Andrew – who married in 1973 and divorced in 1995 – have nothing but warm feelings for one another despite their tumultuous marriage which saw both of them commit adultery.

The former couple remain so close, in fact, that a source told the Daily Mail: “They are joined at the hip. He arranges so much for her. They have lunch together the whole time. He’s right in there. He was always, and still is, Camilla’s co-conspirator.” Andrew – who is currently dating BBC TV presenter Anne Robinson – married the-then Camilla Shand at The Guards Chapel in London on July 4, 1973. Following their divorce, Andrew married Rosemary Dickinson in 1996, but she sadly passed away in 2010 after a long battle with cancer. The pair showcased their close bond at their son’s event, which was held to mark the release of his new book Cooking and The Crown: Royal Recipes From Queen Victoria To King Charles III.

The news of Andrew’s relationship with the Weakest Link presenter was confirmed by the host herself in an interview with Saga Magazine. Robinson, 79, best known for her cutting remarks hosting BBC quiz show The Weakest Link, drily confirmed the news saying: “Yes. Full stop. Mind your own business.” According to Saga, Anne and Andrew met more than a year ago at a lunch with friends but have kept their relationship under wraps since then. Reflecting on her experiences of dating as an older woman, Anne told the magazine: “I’d been out of the game for so long. And also I don’t drink. If you don’t drink, you’re not as reckless, are you?” She said she was a “great believer in surprising yourself by taking risks” both in her dating and work life. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. If the worst that can happen is you get some egg on your face, that’s not terrible is it?”

Queen Camilla and Anne Robinson are not the only famous women Andrew Parker Bowles has been romantically tied to. It is known that the Princess Royal and Andrew were incredibly close and bonded over a shared interest in horses. It is however said that their courtship did not overlap with King Charles and Camilla’s budding relationship. While they split up many years ago, the couple remain close friends today and are often pictured together at British horse trial events. They were so close, in fact, that Princess Anne made Parker Bowles one of her daughter Zara’s godfathers when she was born in 1981. According to King Charles’ biographer, Sally Bedell Smith in her book Prince Charles: The Passions and Paradoxes of an Improbable Life: In the Shadow of the Throne Andrew was Catholic, he was “an unlikely candidate for marriage to a member of the Royal Family”.

The author explains: “Anne and Andrew started dating in June 1970,” and traces the relationship back to that year’s Royal Ascot, when Andrew was invited to Windsor to celebrate with the Royal Family. Andrew was already close with the royals and had served as a page at the late Queen’s coronation in 1953. Even when their romance eventually wound down, they remained lifelong friends.”
