Privacy NoticeQueen Camilla has five grandchildren from her first marriage and five from her marriage to King Charles – making her a grandmother of ten! She also has two grandsons who go by the name of Louis, but the future for the two young boys couldn’t be more different. During her marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles, Camilla welcomed two children, Tom Parker Bowles, born in 1974 and Laura Lopes a few years later in 1978. Camilla’s children have since added to the family tree, with her son first making her a grandmother in 2007 when he welcomed his daughter Lola and again in 2010 when he welcomed a son called Freddy.

Her daughter, Laura first became a mother in 2008 when she welcomed her own daughter Eliza, and in 2009 she gave birth to twin boys, Gus and Louis. The twins and their cousin Freddy held the honour of serving as Camilla’s Pages of Honour during the Coronation in 2023 – despite Gus having a broken arm at the time. Before Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed their own children, Laura’s daughter Eliza was a bridesmaid for their royal wedding in 2011. Queen Camilla is also said to be close with her five step-grandchildren from her marriage to King Charles and is most commonly spotted alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis during various family and royal events. She is also a grandmother to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet who reside in California. With two grandsons named Louis, it undeniably can become a little confusing, despite their almost ten-year age gap.

But one thing is for sure, they hold very different futures, with her eldest grandson Louis rarely seen in public. This is a vast contrast compared to younger Prince Louis, who has become quite the character during his various royal and public appearances, reports MyLondon. He captured hearts during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations with his cheeky behaviour and had everyone chuckling with his comical expressions and restless antics on the Buckingham Palace balcony. He also couldn’t keep still during the Platinum Jubilee Pageant, where he bounced around his family members, showed off his dance moves, and playfully covered his mum’s mouth.

Known for his lively spirit, Louis’s energetic nature has often been mentioned by his parents. Kate, during her first engagement as patron of the Rugby Football Union, humorously referred to her youngest’s approach to rugby and said: “They’re all enjoying it, Louis is kamikaze, we’re worrying about when he gets older, he’ll be in the middle of everything.” In a heartwarming glimpse into her personal life, Camilla graced the cover of Vogue for their July 2022 issue just before celebrating her 75th birthday. During her interview, she opened up about her pastimes, reflected on the early days with Charles, and shared a sweet detail about her relationship with her grandchildren. Camilla revealed a charming family ritual and said: “I do Wordle every day with my granddaughter. She’ll text me to say, ‘I’ve done it in three’, and I say, ‘Sorry, I’ve done it in two today.’ It’s very satisfactory when it tells you how brilliant you are.”

Keeping in touch with her older grandchildren, Camilla also revealed that she frequently texts. She told Vogue: “It’s very nice getting a text. We learn from very young people and they learn from us, too. That’s the way it’s always been.” She added: “You know the nice thing about being a grandmother is that you can spoil them occasionally, give them more of the things that their parents forbid them to have.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
