Privacy NoticeLondon’s fashion elite, including Lady Amelia and Eliza Spencer, descended on Mayfair’s 1 Hotel for the Perfect Magazine x Grey Goose Altius London Fashion Week party on Sunday night. The twin nieces of the late Princess Diana both opted for sleek, all-black looks, with Lady Amelia donning a suave blazer dress and Lady Eliza sporting a sumptuous velvet gown. Despite sharing a famous family name, the sisters’ outfit choices were noticeably different. Lady Eliza was the epitome of Parisian chic in a crisp white tailored jacket that boasted clean lines and oversized buttons. The structured jacket, which flared at the waist, was teamed with a mini-skirt decorated with intricate floral details. On the other hand, Lady Amelia chose an outfit that fully embraced a more traditional British countryside look. A tailored jacket in a rich brown tweed, which exuded structured military vibes with a feminine twist, was the socialite’s evening attire of choice. Other attendees at the highly-anticipated bash included Romeo Beckham, Ella Eyre, Tigerlily Taylor, Mahalia, AJ Odudu and Bimini Bon Boulash. The stylish socialites have had a busy week, attending fashion week events and parties, including Paul Costelloe’s latest show, ‘Le Ciel Est Bleu,’ celebrating 40 years of the designer’s presence at LFW.

Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza were dressed in all black for the event

The twins, daughters of Charles Spencer and his former wife, Victoria Aitken, opened up about their royal aunt in their first ever joint interview in 2021, featured in Tatler. The chic pair, who are cousins of brothers Prince William and Prince Harry, admitted to the magazine that they had no idea the impact Diana’s death had had on the world, as they were raised in South Africa. Lady Eliza said: “Growing up in South Africa, I really had very little idea of how significant she was in the world until I was much older… She always made an effort to connect with us as children and had a talent for reading children’s hearts.”

She also recalled an incident in which a photographer approached them while they were strolling along a beach in Cape Town with her. “Obviously it could have been quite terrifying for us, being so young and not understanding what was happening. “But she turned it into a game of who could get back to the car first. It was amazing how she protected us in a way that made us feel safe and not frightened. We had no idea what she was doing at the time. As a child, I realised the enormity of the loss for my father and family.”

Amelia also told how the pair and their siblings, Lady Kitty and Louis Spencer, have followed their cousins William and Harry in open discussions surrounding mental health. She said: “We have come a long way in terms of the conversations, and I hope there will come a time when the stigma is completely removed and that people will be able to ask for help and not feel judged for having mental health issues or struggling emotionally.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
