Privacy NoticeExciting times ahead for the Royal Family as Princess Beatrice is set to welcome a new bundle of joy with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi! The couple, who are already doting parents to their three year old Sienna, are gearing up to bring home a sibling this Spring. Sienna is also getting ready to step into her role as big sister – just as Edo’s son Christopher, who is affectionately called Wolfie, will be doing. Royal fans might note that while Sienna shares ties with her cousins, August and Ernest Brooksbank, she’s got one up on them with an Italian title all thanks to her dad’s noble roots. Edoardo holds the count title, making Sienna a ‘nobile donna’, which is Italian for ‘noble woman’. The same will go for the new arrival.

Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, Edoardo’s father, spoke to the Daily Mail before the pair married back on July 17, 2020: “Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation. He is a count, his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna.” Even though Beatrice and Eugenie’s children aren’t in line for British royal titles since they’re not directly descended from King Charles, their grandmother, Sarah, Duchess of York couldn’t hide her giggles of glee while she chatted about her grandkids during an episode of her podcast, Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah.

Fergie shared a sweet glimpse into her family life, revealing the special connection she’s built with her granddaughter Sienna. While Beatrice was away in Jordan for a Royal wedding, Fergie cherished her time with the little one, saying: “I’ve managed to really have a bond with Sienna and guess what my bond is? I give her a little sip of my tea out of my tea cup …. I put some cold water with it.” In an emotional revelation, Fergie also opened up about the moment she found out that her grandson would carry a deeply personal family name. Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank named their son Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, born on May 30 last year, honouring Sarah’s father Major Ronald Ferguson with his middle name. Speaking about her new grandchild, Sarah expressed how touched she was: “When Jack and Eugenie told me, it was so moving that they had put my dad in there. It was so kind, I thought. It made me cry.” The Duchess of York has faced her own battles, having been diagnosed with breast cancer. Beatrice later spoke about her mother’s resilience during an interview on This Morning, praising her strength: “She’s been through so much but I think really now she’s sort of coming into her own,” she reflected.
